Summit Suri Alpacas focuses on breeding dark-colored, Peruvian suris including Accoyo bloodlines. Due to the travel demands of Peter's non-alpaca career, we have opted to board our herd at Country Haven Farm Alpacas located in Fort Collins, CO. Suzanne and Joel Backer do a great job managing the day to day care of our animals and we get to spend time with our herd every 4-6 weeks. We are actively involved making breeding decisions, participating in shows and marketing our herd. We are members of AOBA, ARI, Suri Network and the Alpaca Breeders of the Rockies.
Using a thoughtful approach to breeding, we maintain genetic diversity while promoting excellent conformation and outstanding fiber characteristics in our dark-colored suris. Our dams are bred to exceptional herdsires from outstanding bloodlines. You can be confident in your decision to purchase an animal from our herd or a breeding to one of our award winning herdsires.
Our relationships with other breeders are the key to our success and we strive to make each interaction enjoyable and mutually beneficial. Of course, all our alpacas are registered with ARI and are sold with full reproductive guarantees. Animals are priced competitively in line with current market conditions. We offer multiple purchase discounts as well as no interest financing.
